Corporate Events Reimagined

The room stops watching and starts playing.

Day at the Derby turns a ballroom of seated strangers into one competition everybody is in. Touchscreen kiosks, live results on a screen the size of the wall, and a two hour window that ends with the whole room on its feet.

Built to scale

Convention-scale by design, not by stretching.

The format was built for big rooms from the start. Headcount changes the number of kiosks and the size of the crew, not the shape of the night.

How the night runs

Everyone plays every round. Nobody is a spectator.

Day at the Derby transforms any event into a high-energy, shared competition where guests don't just watch, they play. Participants use intuitive touchscreen stations to place selections, follow live results and compete through fast-paced rounds, while broadcast-style visuals, commentary, and leaderboards fill the room. The result is constant conversation, cheering, and connection.

Rounds, not one long game

The night is built from short rounds. A table that arrives late from a general session is still in it, and nobody spends ninety minutes waiting to find out they lost in the first ten.

One board the whole room can see

Live results and standings run on a screen everybody is already facing. Shared stakes are what make a ballroom loud, and a leaderboard is the cheapest way to create them.

Fully Staffed & Turnkey Production

All staffing, equipment and technology components are provided and managed by our team. Portable and fast to install, which is what makes a tight load-in window survivable.

Fast Guest Flow

Kiosks are sized to the headcount so queues never form. A room of two thousand moves through a round in the same shape as a room of two hundred, which is what keeps the energy from stalling between heats.

Nationwide availability

More than three decades of hospitality and event expertise, deployed coast to coast. The crew, the kiosks and the production standard travel together, so a program in Anaheim runs the way a program in Nashville does.

Custom Branding

A branded room, not a wall of logos.

In the world of premier destination management, branding is not about placing logos, it is about creating an environment guests step into. Three tiers, placed where guests actually meet them.

Built on integrity

Five commitments, and they are the boring ones on purpose.

Founded in 1990, the company evolved into what is now exclusively Day at the Derby. The format has advanced. The standards behind it have not changed.

Uncompromising Preparation
We arrive ready. Equipment updated, systems tested, details handled before doors open. Preparation is not an afterthought, it is the foundation of execution.
Professional Execution
Calm leadership, clear communication, disciplined deployment in every venue. Whether it is a major convention center or a destination resort, the team works at production level.
Investment in Quality
We reinvest continuously in the kiosks, the software and the presentation systems. No shortcuts and no second-tier equipment.
Accountability
If something needs attention it gets corrected immediately, before it becomes your problem. Your reputation is the thing actually on the floor.
Respect for Every Client
We serve organizations of every background with professionalism, discretion and inclusiveness.

Before you ask

The questions planners actually open with.

Programs run from around 100 guests up to 2,000 and beyond. The format is built for convention-scale rooms, so the number of touchscreen kiosks and staff scales with the headcount rather than the structure of the event changing.

Our programs typically require a two hour window. That covers the full arc of the rounds, from the first selections through to the final leaderboard, with enough time for guests arriving late from dinner or a general session to still take part.

No. Our structured formats are designed strictly for professional entertainment and social engagement. Guests make picks and follow live results on a leaderboard. It is purely social competition, which is why the format works inside corporate and association programs.

All staffing, equipment and technology components are provided and managed by our team. The system is portable and fast to install. What we need from you is the room, the two hour window and the load-in access, which we work out with your venue and production team ahead of time.

Yes. Custom Branding integrates a brand across the environment, the physical touchpoints and the on-screen presence. The branding wall sits behind the engagement zone so it doubles as the photo backdrop, which means guest photos come out branded without a separate step and repeat.

Nationwide. We regularly work the major convention markets including Las Vegas, Orlando, Chicago, Nashville, Miami, Washington DC, Phoenix, Houston, Dallas, Denver, Atlanta, Anaheim, San Diego, San Francisco and New York City, plus Hawaii, the Bahamas and London.

It can. We coordinate audio cues around race and market breaks so the program and the rest of the room work together rather than competing. Tell us what else is happening in the room and we build the run of show around it.
