Format 05
Armadillo Racing
A playful Texas favorite full of laughs and competition. Built for the room that has been in sessions all day and needs permission to be loud again.
The one people bring up in the lobby the next morning.
Armadillo Racing runs on the same kiosks and the same leaderboard as every other Day at the Derby® format, but the tone is different on purpose. It is quicker, sillier, and built to travel by word of mouth around a convention floor. Guests make their picks, the field runs, and the room reacts the way a room reacts to something it did not expect from a corporate program. It is the format meeting planners tell us gets mentioned unprompted at the next general session.
Where it fits in the run of show
Armadillo Racing earns its slot late in a program, or on the day everyone is tired of sitting in a ballroom listening to a speaker. It is a genuine Texas favorite, drawn from a state where two thousand strangers being loud together is not a hard sell, and it is at home in a room that has spent the day in general sessions and just wants somewhere to put the energy. The format stays fully staffed and turnkey: our team brings the kiosks, the crew, and the presentation system, coordinates audio cues around any band or DJ already booked for the room, and packs down as fast as it went in.

Purely social, on purpose
Big personality, same production standard.
Every format we run, including this one, is designed strictly for professional entertainment and social engagement. Guests make selections and follow the leaderboard the way they would in any of our formats, and the fun comes from the format's character, not from anything riding on the outcome. It is a playful, quick round built for a room that wants to laugh, not a departure from the standard the rest of the lineup holds to.
That standard does not move for tone. The same kiosks, the same crew, and the same two hour shape apply whether the room is calling punches or cheering on an armadillo named for the meeting planner. Preparation, equipment, and staffing are handled before doors open, so the only thing your team has to manage is deciding when in the run of show this one goes.
